Damn These Circumstances You’re looking as you’ve looked before, you’re screaming at the room your eyes all red like in your head on a cold sunny autumn afternoon and you felt safe inside a winters coat tho you were barely there throwing obscenities like punches sentiments beyond repair i don’t wana hold my tongue- yeah i hope that you hurt and i don’t know if this would stand up in court but what i swear i heard you say was ‘Goddamn these circumstances- and god goddamn you anyway’ and yes you’re seething like the critics might and pulling on your hair d’you pound your fists into your pillow when no-ones standing there but if it helps i see what you mean, like an angry football player there’s only verbs no adjectives because there’s only action here i don’t wana hold my tongue- yeah i hope that you hurt and i don’t know if this would stand up in court but what i swear i heard you say was ‘Goddamn these circumstances- and god goddamn you anyway’ and the whole time, we were thinking breathe in breathe out-breathe in breathe out but still your mouth moves like ‘Goddamn these circumstances- and god goddamn you ( i wish i’d never come here, i wish i’d never laid eyes on you god damn these circumstances and god-damn- you)

Be Glad You’re Neurotic Unmade hands make for unmade bed, punch drunk playing loudly in your head. & I don’t want to be reminded. You said that you’d never leave, Well, how you feel now you’re seventeen? I don’t want to be reminded. Be glad you’re neurotic and lie to all your friends. It’s hard enough to mean it, so let’s pretend. Like fireworks from far away - Smoke hangs, bright lights never stay. & I don’t want to be reminded. You said that you’d never leave, Well, how you feel now you’re seventeen? I don’t want to be reminded. Be glad you’re neurotic and lie to all your friends. It’s hard enough to mean it, so let’s pretend.

Ithaca 03:10
YEAH! The office blocks have all gone down The buildings’r still on fire (burn) Still its only are postcodes that we have in common But with oil on canvas framed with wood Its clear this piece does everything it should Self reflection its got it all, mass production and everything And then we throw are arms to heaven And scream the words like thats what matters (love) Like we felt young we were concerned and we were hopeful for tommorow going! Context! Context! Give me some context or fragments are all we’ve got And you’re dreaming with your eyes closed And the words come way to fast Your eyes roll back into your head While your arms reach out to Ithaca So we raise a glass to context And rundown motorways With headphones mouthing songs that fit to beaches lit by fun-fair grounds And we found the words we wanted in the same old books and songs We lay in librarys and cd shops with our backs on the ground and our hands in the air going No we’re never going home no we’re never going never going. Context! Context! Give me some context or fragments are all we’ve got

When i was a child running home the only way i’ve ever know i’d grow my hair long and prey for rain prey that i’d never see this place again pack your bags and set six alarms and run into the town see i’m burning buildings for the good and maybe one day they’ll see It’s all for the kids it’s all for the kids I found that i wasted my time So we’re moving to Brooklyn on your advice We’re all deserters or so I’m told but if you sing then you’ll never grow old and shoot the singer, shoot him quick and kill the songs that make you sick still young and sober yet again in memory of the third weekend now where’s the exit or where’s the door or we’ll go jumping from the 15th floor singing It’s all for the kids it’s all for the kids I found that i wasted my time So we’re moving to Brooklyn on your advice
